PM Abhisit orders Suwit to UNESCO ‘heritage’ meeting on Preah Vihear temple

BANGKOK, July 25 - As the UNESCO World Heritage Committee (WHC) meeting in Brazil starts Sunday, Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said he had ordered Thailand’s to attend the session and to also object to Cambodia’s unilateral management plan for the disputed environs of the ancient Preah Vihear temple.

The prime minister personally answerd phone calls from citizens contributing their ideas to the “6 Days 63 Million Opinions, Driving Thailand Forward” campaign launched today to hear about problems from the public.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva personally took calls this morning at the opening of the “6 Days 63 Million Opinions, Driving Thailand Forward” project at Government House.
