Many have dismissed former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's plan to take his legal cases to the World Court as absurd.
Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban made a comment regarding former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra's post on a social networking website that he will take his legal cases to the International Court of Justice.
Suthep said the post was an attempt to pressure the Thai judicial system and Thaksin should return the kingdom to fight in the Thai court.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Abhisit's Personal Spokesperson, Thepthai Senphong, said the post has clearly demonstrated Thaksin's lack of legal knowledge, despite his being surrounded by many legal experts.
Thepthai said the international court simply has no jurisdiction over the Thaksin's legal cases.
General-Secretary of the New Politics Party, Suriyasai Katasila, also ridiculed Thaksin's plan to take his cases to the World Court.
Suriyasai claims the idea is absurd, since Thaksin's cases are not international disputes.
He pointed out that Thaksin is wrong for rejecting the Thai judicial system.
